Full Name: Arian Pendragon

Alias: Ari, Girly-face (this one of course used by the people who don’t really like him)

Race: Draconid

Age: 16

Date of Birth: 22. September

Home town/current location: His home town is Valia, a small fisherman village in the east. His current location is unknown, because poor Ari lost his map during his travels. The best description of his position should be… somewhere in a big wild forest.

Love interest/orientation: heterosexual; he likes a girl from his village but she thinks that our Ari is a total looser (she kame up with the Girly-face name)

Family: Mother Moira Lains, now deceased, father is unknown; Ari just knows that he is carrying his father’s family name Pendragon. His grandma (only known as Granny) is taking care of him for the moment

Friends: he has no draconid friends because of his little… problem (see background). His only friend at the moment is his dragon-cub Red.

Habits: When he is nervous he bites his lips and in extreme cases starts to stutter. He is usually an early-bird, but can sleep for two days if really tired.

Hobbies: listening to legends and travelers’ stories, swimming, tree-climbing, eating (and believe me he can eat the food of three men)

Likes: His dragon Red, his Granny, cherries, high places, warm sunny days,

Dislikes: fighting (in general), Ridon (the current boyfriend of the girl he likes; Ridon is a big bully), having to fight Ridon, the cold, dark nights (because of the circumstances around his mother’s death)

Powers/abilities: he is very good at fire magic; much later he discovers that he can shape-shift into a dragon.

Personality: good-natured, cheerful (sadly he uses very often a smile to hide his true feelings, no matter how hurt he really is), honest, a bit lazy, sometimes tends to overreact, loyal, VERY clumsy (at least at the beginning)

Background: (Its waaaaaaaay too long, sorry) The people of Valia worship the sea dragons as their protectors and clan-animals. Ari’s mother Moira was a shaman and performed different rituals, some of which connected to the Dragon origin (summoning the spirits of past generations and dragons for counseling). Moira died mysteriously one night while performing a summoning ritual. Ari was 10 years old but, strangely enough, he has no memories of that night, so he believes he is somehow responsible for her death. After his mother past away all the village elders tried to help him and his Granny. Ari had great difficulties dealing with the loss of his mother, but his hardships didn’t end there. At the age of 11 with the rest of the draconid children he was supposed to be presented to the village dragons and then train as animal tamer and dragon master. Unfortunately all the dragons went crazy and started attacking him the moment he stepped closer, so one of the village elders had to rescue him. It turned out that not only the dragons, but also almost all other animals begin to act uneasy and aggressively when he was around. So Ari couldn’t become a tamer and was ridiculed by the other children. Our little boy was desperate, thinking that he must be broken and a freak, but then one morning he found a little lizard almost drowned at the shore. Ari took care of him and the creature got well. Strangely it didn’t show any signs of fear or dislike, on the contrary. As time passed Ari realize that Red (the lizard) was actually some unknown dragon species.
Shortly after turning 16 Arian decided to leave the village and travel the world in order to look for his father and Red’s kin. To make a long story short, Ari found out that Red is one of the mythical fire-dragons, but most importantly, that his father was one of the Extinct. The Extinct were the strongest draconide tribe that worshiped the fire dragons, but they died out because of too extensive inbreeding (they thought that other draconide are lesser creatures and impure). So being one of the last descendants of the Extinkt, Ari inherited all of their powers, including shape-shifting in the Progenitor’s form. Additionally he realized that the other dragons and animals didn't hate him, but rather feared him since Ari was on the top of the food chain and as a child he didn't know how to suppress his Extinct-aura.
